Herzog received Chief Rabbi Sacca together with his entourage from Menora and the Sephardic Community of Argentina led by President Eng. Marcos Daniel Mayo. They held a fruitful dialogue on the challenges of the Jewish people in general and the Argentine community in particular.

Herzog’s personal and professional experience as leader of the Labor Party and head of the Jewish Agency demonstrates a repeated commitment to Israel as the Nation State of the Jewish people and the need to bridge the ties between Diaspora Jews and Israeli Jews.

Some of the challenges of the Jewish community that Herzog faces are: reinforcing the ancient Jewish culture and tradition, fighting anti-Semitism, fostering links between the diaspora communities and Israel and being attentive to their particular needs.

Isaac Sacca talked with Herzog about his community work in Argentina, where he works as Chief Rabbi of the Sephardic Community and President of Menora, focusing on Jewish continuity and the insertion of young people in society as good and valuable individuals. He thanked the permanent support of the State of Israel and the warm welcome in the Holy Land.
