Training by Great Rabbi Isaac Sacca at the Edmond J. Safra Rabbinical Training Institute

02/28/2024

The Edmond J. Safra Rabbinical Training Institute has become a reference center for the education of multidisciplinary community leaders in the Jewish field.

Directed by Rabbi Shelomo Sacca, this institute offers a wide range of academic programs and thematic seminars, some of them in collaboration with the University of Palermo in Buenos Aires.

On Friday, February 23, 2024, Chief Rabbi Isaac Sacca was in charge of the opening of the Institute’s new training cycle.

The Chief Rabbi gave a lecture on the interpretation of Maimonides in the “Guide of the Perplexed”, specifically addressing the biblical story of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden and the trees of life and the knowledge of good and evil. The central message of his explanation focused on the importance of understanding the various aspects of humanity, emphasizing the relationship between passions and reason, and warning about the danger of being slaves to other people’s opinions. Sacca highlighted the need to activate the intellect to avoid living under the influence of others, especially in the context of educational work, where transmitting the importance of seeking authentic truth and sincerity is essential.

These trainings are a reflection of the interest and active participation of the educational community of Menora in deepening their understanding of the topics covered and their practical application in their work as leaders and educators within the Jewish community and global society.
