Study night at the Sephardic Community

On the night of Hoshana Rabah, the seventh day of the Sukkot festival, in the Bencion Mayo Temple of the Sephardic Community we reflected with the audience about the importance of generating a bond with God inspired by the teachings of the Torah, in this case of Sukkot, and not indulge in rites that God did not order as indicated in the book of Debarim (13: 1).

We talked about the faith in the Divine protection that the Sukkah and the 4 species symbolize and the other 2 commandments, the Arabah and the Nisuj Hamaim (ceremony of pouring water on the altar to ask for rain), which teach us that God is with nature, always providing and taking care of us . That must be the feeling that arises in Sukkot in our hearts, of happiness and joy for the love God feels for us. We also remember the continuity of the identity of the people of Israel that promote the three festivities, the Regalim (Pesach, Shabuot and Sukkot), in which the people met in the only Temple in the Jewish world at that time, in Jerusalem.
