A whole day dedicated to the study of Jewish philosophy

Last Sunday, September 13th, Chief Rabbi Isaac Sacca participated in a day of intercommunity Torah study, prior to Rosh Hashanah, in which various communities from Argentina, Mexico, Uruguay, the United States , Israel and Venezuela participated.

The event was attended by different speakers, among them Rabbi Abraham Chehebar, Chajam Shalom Cohen Shlita and Rabbi Yosef Chehebar.

More than 500 people were connected.

Rabbi Isaac Sacca explained that on Rosh Hashana we crown God as king, He created the world, and also the human being. For this reason, we must evaluate our mission as human beings. God promised a good world, but we have the responsibility that the blessing God pours into the world, is reflected in each one of us.

He stressed that we must strengthen the study of Torah and Dérej Eres, the link with the earthly world, as it is explained in Masejet Berachot. God created two fundamental creations: the universe and the revelation of His will through Maamad Sinai (the giving of the Torah), through the people of Israel; both of them are necessary.

The Torah was given for the earthly world, we must act with earthly rules; We can’t be isolated from the world, ignore the rules of nature. We must understand what the world is, what Creation is, how it works. Torah and Dérej Eres. We must study Torah, fight our instincts, control our passions, and strengthen strategies on how to face the world. We cannot ignore the nature of the world that God created. The Torah is fulfilled in the material world. If we disconnect from the world, we can’t apply the will of God.

Our greatness consists on elevating the material world, ennobling it, being involved with our family and the society. The Torah is not in heaven, the Torah is here with us. The essential point is to combine the Torah with the Dérej Eres.

The only way to do God’s will is to get involved in life, in society, keep working, develop as a person, be united and build a better world.
