Signature of the interreligious declaration against modern slavery.

The Global Freedom Network, organization which brings together worldwide religious leaders to struggle against modern slavery, invited Chief Rabbi Isaac Sacca to the signature of the interreligious declaration together with important religious leaders of Latin America.

The ceremony was held on Thursday November 16th at the fairground of Buenos Aires with the special presence of the founder of  Global Freedom Network, the businessman and world philanthropist  Andrew Forrest. Besides Rabbi Sacca, the declaration was signed by Chief Rabbi Gabriel Davidovich, Superior Rabbi of AMIA; Mgr Oscar Vicente Ojea, Bishop of San Isidro and President of the Argentinian Episcopal Conference; Sheij Abdelnaby Elfhefnawy, Imam of all Muslims of Argentina; Mgr Kissag Mouradian, Bishop of the Armenian Orthodox Church for Argentina and Chile; Mgr  Tarasios, Bishop of the Greek Orthodox Church in Argentina and Exarca for South America;  Pastor Ruben Proietti, President of ACIERA and the Latin American Association of Christian Evangelical Church; Pastor Daniel Favaro, Secretary General of the Argentinian Methodist Evangelical Church; Lama Sangye Dorje, leader of the Buddhist community of Argentina; Angraj Singh, religious leader of the Sikh Community of Argentina, among others.

It is estimated that today over 40 million people in the world live under slavery, that is why Rabbi Isaac Sacca feels honored to join this struggle to make  this world a world in which every man will be free.
