Israel Peace Conference at CSHA

The Chief Rabbi Isaac Sacca, the prestigious journalist Pilar Rahola and the former Ambassador of Argentina to Israel Mariano Caucino, a specialist in international relations, led a special conference for peace. This event, organized by the Círculo Social Hebreo Argentino (Jewish- Argentine Social Circle), and Ayudar a Nuestra Argentina Kehilati (Help Our Argentina Kehilati), provided valuable perspectives on terrorism and its siege on civilization.

They emphasized the devastating impact of the October 7 massacre in Israel, classifying it as an absolute breakdown of what defines us as human beings and what civilization is.

Both speakers agreed that the conflict goes beyond ethnic or religious issues; it is a crime against humanity.

Chief Rabbi Isaac Sacca concluded by highlighting that the threat of anti-Semitism is not only against Israel, but it is also a battle of evil against good. Israel is a symbol of an ancient minority linked to God; this disturbs the conscience of the intolerant who only understand their own idea. This war is not won only by battles; it is earned by encouraging and practicing good, as Moshe did when he freed the Hebrew people from slavery. Moshe not only fought against Pharaoh, but also urged the nation to act benevolently according to God’s commandments. “In the long term, promoting good, practicing it in all areas, improves the world. The only way to counteract evil is to infect others with good,” stressed the Chief Rabbi.

This conference made clear the importance of sincere and comprehensive understanding to address current challenges and promote peace in the region. Open dialogue and the search for fair solutions are essential to building a more harmonious future.
