Tips for a successful couple

On Monday, November 2nd, at the weekly meeting for young couples, Rabbi Isaac Sacca transmitted a series of important aspects to consider in the couple based on the Perasha of the week of Lech Lecha.

The Torah relates about the first marriage that set the platform for monotheism:

1) Abraham and Sarah. The first universal ideological human revolution was forged through a family, a couple, not through a single person.

Judaism ponders married life. Only the strength of a couple could generate the ideological revolution of the approach to God, the greatest revolution of all times.

 2) The couple allows to complement each other, to join forces in pursuit of noble objectives. Abraham and Sarah had the same objective and they were complemented by their different abilities. Separately they could not have achieved it.

3) In the couple there must be agreement in values, including religious ones, in order to avoid fissures and cracks in the relationship. The patriarchs chose each other to love each other because they agreed on the most important points of life; they had the same goals.

When facing a search for a partner, it is necessary to evaluate that there are coincidences in the important ideas, in values; you cannot pretend to change the other.

Abraham and Sarah, the founders of Judaism, established the parameters of how the bond between husband and wife should be: with respect, cooperation, admiration and empathy.
