Statement regarding isolation care about the Covid-19

Statement regarding isolation care about the Covid-19 pandemic by Chief Rabbi Isaac Sacca

We remind the congregation that the Community, from the beginning of the quarantine, is complying with the phytosanitary measures ordered by the National Government.

To respect them also makes compliance of our religious norms which tell us to prioritize the protection of life and the care of the neighbor.

The Institution acts according to the rules established by the government and it doesn’t carry out any ceremony, event or action against them, and so we urge all individuals of the community to do the same.

Any transgression to the current government regulation is considered a serious religious and civil transgression which endangers people’s lives and distorts the responsibility and seriousness with which the religious Jewish Community faces this delicate sanitary emergency before public opinion.

We redouble our request of respect for norms and we pray for the end of the pandemic and the well-being of the whole humanity.
