Chief Rabbi Isaac Sacca was invited to the residence of the British Ambassador in Argentina, Kirsty Hayes, who recently took office.
In their meeting, Rabbi Sacca and the Ambassador made themselves available to collaborate on common projects in order to promote peace and solidarity among young people and society in general.
Common ties have also been forged in the cultural field. The residence of the British Ambassador opened its doors to Menora through their previous ambassador, Mark Kent, in November 2019, so that a Holocaust survivor, Julius Hollander, could tell his story to hundreds of young people.
Permanently aiming to train noble young people committed to common good, under the auspices of international entities such as the British Embassy in this case, Menora, World Jewish Organization for the Youth, organizes solidarity campaigns, promotion and encouragement programs for young entrepreneurs from all over the world.
The Menora Mint program welcomes university students from all over the world, including the United Kingdom, when they come to Argentina for exchange programs through university.
On the eve of the International Holocaust Day, they remembered the victims of the Shoah at the hands of the Nazis and the heroic attitude of England and the Allies, under the leadership of Winston Churchill, against Nazism.
“Our appreciation to the British nation for its struggle for freedom” – the Chief Rabbi stressed.
