Chief Rabbi Isaac Sacca received the Ambassador of Portugal in Argentina, José Frederico Ludovice, at the Sephardic Chief Rabbinate of Buenos Aires.
The visit was of the utmost importance. It was important being able to retake ties of the past and plan together towards the future.
In 2019, Rabbi Sacca shared the WLC, World Law Congress, with the President of Portugal Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa. Rabbi Sacca expressed how important the benefit of the possibility of recovering the Portuguese citizenship is for the descendants of Jews expelled from those lands.
The Portuguese Ambassador and the Chief Rabbi discussed various projects in common. Among them, an agreement between Menora, the Sephardic Community and the Portuguese embassy in Argentina to organize inspiring visits to characteristic places of the Jewish community in Portugal.
