Mr. Guillermo Oliveri, Cult Secretary, and Dr. Jorge Stockland, national director of the National Registry of Cults, spoke with Chief Rabbi Isaac Sacca and Rabbi Gabriel Sacca about joint projects related to the youth and the promotion of the Sephardic culture.
They also discussed the relevance of the Sephardic community in Argentina, the largest in the world today, and discussed proposals on how to enhance this culture, considering the premise of religious tolerance. In addition, they presented projects oriented to the youth that are carried out in Menora , assuming the commitment to continue focusing on inspiring and enhancing the chances of young people.
Guillermo Oliveri spoke about the trip to Europe that he made in May this year, as part of the delegation that accompanied President Alberto Fernandez on his tour to Spain, Portugal, France and Italy. Among other important figures, they met with Pope Francis, with whom they spoke for a long time.
The meeting was held on the eve of the Jewish holidays, reaffirming the close bond that the Argentine State has with the Jewish population.
