Important act of conclusion of the Treaty of the Talmud in Buenos Aires

On Wednesday, December 16th, Chief Rabbi Isaac Sacca participated in the Sium Masechet (conclusion of the Talmudic Treaty ) of Besá in the Temple on Camargo Street of the Sephardic Community of ACISBA, led by Rabbi Abraham Minián, respecting the current sanitary protocols.

Rabbi Isaac Sacca congratulated Rabbi Abraham Minian and all the mitpalelim (parishioners) who participated in the study of this Masechet: Guido Kreiner, Gabriel Micha, Ariel Aboud and Ariel Blanca. He stressed the importance of studying the Talmud. He explained that the Talmudic system of thought is the logic for understanding how the laws of Judaism are dictated. It lets us have a notion of what a Halacha (Jewish law) is.

He also stressed that Masechet Besa is a very clear Masechet of everyday Halachot.

Rabbi Isaac mentioned the great honor he had for having participated in this meeting, and blessed all the participants for the great merit of having been part of this Sium.

As regards the pandemic, in his longing for it to come to an end, he pointed out that the Rambam named the augury of the sages to live good times in order to be able to fulfill the misvot and study Torah calmly.

In the end a Seudat Misvah, a festive meal, was served in honor of the Sium Masechet.
