Last Wednesday, December 7, the certificate delivery ceremony for the Academic Training and Community Leadership Program of the Edmond J. Safra Institute of Menora was held together with the University of Palermo.
From the Executive Community Leaders Program, the following received certificates: rabbis and teachers Netanel Duer, Gabriel Salomon Duer, Chaim Chamula, Eitan Chomer, Isaac Jarzabek, Ezequiel Kasabe, Gabriel Said, Marcos Trenyan, Adrian Vodovosoff and Ariel Cattach.
From the Semicha (rabbinical ordinance) program directed by Rabbi Isaac Chehebar, the following received certificates: Ariel Berim, Ezequiel Chababo, Joni Dayan, Uriel Kibudi, Yosef Kiesel, Abraham Sacca and Ariel Kowal.
During the meeting, Chief Rabbi Isaac stressed the importance of receiving a certification of what community leaders, rabbis, and teachers studied. “In order not to be vulnerable, you have to have knowledge. To be good, you first have to be wise,” he said.
Rabbi Gabriel Sacca, Director of Menora, emphasized three pillars for a good leader: knowledge, doing and being a correct person. He also thanked the Safra Foundation of Geneva Switzerland for their contribution and support to be able to carry out these training groups.
Rabbi Gabriel Duer of the Chalom Community congratulated Menora, on behalf of all the graduates, for taking care in providing tools to carry out community work professionally.
